The 70th Annual Meeting of the American Physical Society Division of Fluid Dynamics, is happening now! The weather is fine, but cold at night.

The conference Reception is tonight! Details here.

The meeting is being held November 19 – 21, 2017 in downtown Denver, Colorado at the Colorado Convention Center. This is one of the largest gatherings of the fluid dynamics research community in the world. There will be 3000 presentations with about 1/3 from outside the United States. All relevant abstracts are accepted (topics). Associated presentations are 10 minutes in length, resulting in a fast-paced, supportive environment showcasing the latest results from fluid science and engineering. Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to participate.

The full technical program is now available on the APS website . To make browsing the program easier, each session has been tagged with a track such as ‘CFD’ or ‘Bubbles’. You can filter by the tags from the Session Index page. The printed program including the grid can be downloaded here. The program is also available in a phone app.

All free ticketed events are now full, however you can ask to be put on an event waitlist  here.

An informal Accompanying Visitors program is being assembled by Caryl Kassoy. Sign up here.

There are a number of innovations offered this year: an online jobs board, a closing reception, flow visualization projected in the main concourse, commemorative water bottles and an art installation by Mark J. Stock.
We hope you will enjoy the meeting!
