The full technical program is now available on the APS website . To make browsing the program easier, each session has been tagged with a track such as ‘CFD’ or ‘Bubbles’. You can filter by the tags from the Session Index page.
The technical program will include four award lectures and eight invited lectures along with minisymposia, focus sessions, contributed papers, poster sessions, exhibits and the Gallery of Fluid Motion poster and video entries. Close to 3000 contributed abstracts have been placed in the program.
Each year the APS Division of Fluid Dynamics presents the following awards:
- Fluid Dynamics Prize
- Francois Frenkiel Award
- Andreas Acrivos Dissertation Award
- Stanley Corrsin Award
The 2017 award winners, each of whom will give a lecture at the meeting, will be announced in the Fall of 2017.
Invited Lectures, Minisymposia, and Focus Sessions
Eight invited lectures on topics of broad interest to the DFD community will be given by experts in each field. The program also includes minisymposia (by invitation, with 20 minute presentations) and focus sessions (regular sessions with 10 minute presentations, curated by selected chairs) dealing with exciting current research.
