The scientific program will include four award lectures and eight invited lectures along with minisymposia, focus sessions, contributed papers, poster sessions, exhibits and the Gallery of Fluid Motion poster and video entries. Over 3000 contributed abstracts are anticipated.
The program will be available in early September, prior to the early registration deadline. The program will be available on the APS meetings website and via a mobile app.
Each year the APS Division of Fluid Dynamics presents the following awards:
- Fluid Dynamics Prize
- Francois Frenkiel Award
- Andreas Acrivos Dissertation Award
- Stanley Corrsin Award
The 2017 award winners, each one of whom will give a lecture at the meeting, will be announced in the Fall of 2017.
Invited Lectures, Minisymposia, and Focus Sessions
Eight invited lectures on topics of broad interest to the DFD community will be given by experts in each field. The program also includes minisymposia and focus sessions dealing with exciting current research.
